We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Lead to drive the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality technology solutions across our Customer Platforms. This role is pivotal in bridging architecture, engineering, and delivery, ensuring solutions are well-designed, execution-ready, and aligned to business outcomes.

You will play a key role in shaping our technology landscape, with a strong focus on cloud-native design, integration architecture, and high-volume digital platforms.

Day-to-day, you will:

- Lead the development of detailed technical designs aligned to enterprise architecture and business strategy
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Tech Leads to translate high-level solutions into delivery-ready artefacts
- Work with Business Analysts and Product teams to ensure well-defined, execution-ready backlogs
- Drive best practices across AWS, Oracle Fusion, mini services, and Java-based engineering.
- Design and oversee integration solutions and API ecosystems, including payment APIs
- Partner with Delivery Leads to ensure efficient and strategic execution of work
- Act as a key conduit between delivery squads, operations teams, and external partners
- Ensure solutions are production-ready, with appropriate monitoring, resilience, and supportability
- Identify and manage technical risks, providing proactive mitigation strategies

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

- Strong experience designing and delivering cloud-based solutions, with expertise in AWS, microservices architecture,



and Java/Spring Boot development.
- Demonstrated capability in integration architecture and API design, including RESTful and event-driven solutions across complex enterprise environments.
- Experience working with payment platforms, secure transaction systems, and enterprise applications such as Oracle Fusion.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams to drive outcomes.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with an understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and contemporary engineering standards.
