Due to continued expansion within the business, we are seeking a Junior Flight Test Engineer to join the flight operations team within our Advanced Technologies Group (ATG). The Junior Flight Test Engineer will report to the Lead Flight Test Engineer and Head of Flight Operations to coordinate and support flight test events for ATG engineering development and formal test programs. This role also includes supporting end user training for the Corvo Family of Autonomous Systems and will require occasional interstate travel.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Coordinating with the Lead Flight Test Engineer to support internal engineering flight test objectives
- Support the authoring and execution of formal Verification and Validation (V&V;) test programs
- Supporting delivery of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) training courses to end users

Your Experience

- Relevant Degree qualified (Aerospace, Mechatronics, etc.)
- Effective communication skills
- Familiarity with RPAS and key subsystems
- Understanding of aerodynamics and fundamental principles of flight

Desirable

- Remote Pilot's License (RePL)




- Experience in ArduPilotExperience in scripting languages such as Python
- Experience in Windows and Linux operating environments
- Demonstrated understanding of formal V&V; test programs
- Demonstrable common sense and ability to make sound risk-based decisions will be highly regarded

About You

- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Australian Citizen
- Able to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
- Hold an Australian Drivers Licence
- Comfortable working in small, trusted teams with limited supervision
- Outcome oriented
- Willing to travel when required at short notice
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
