Redpath is seeking experienced Shotcrete Operators to join the team at Federation Mine. This role is responsible for the secure and efficient application of shotcrete to support underground development activities, ensuring compliance with ground support standards and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate underground shotcrete equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply shotcrete in accordance with mine plans and ground support specifications.
- Conduct pre‑start inspections and routine equipment checks.
- Maintain spray quality and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with Jumbo, Service Crew, and Production teams.
- Complete shift reports and production documentation.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in underground work areas.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and equipment defects.
- Promote and uphold site safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Underground Shotcrete Operator.
- Experience operating Normet or equivalent shotcrete equipment (highly regarded).
- Strong understanding of underground ground support practices.
- Ability to work safely in a production‑focused environment.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Valid manual driver's licence.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a 2/2 FIFO or DIDO roster.
