About the Roles
Working closely with Curtin researchers and collaborators from the Department of Defence, you will use advanced statistical techniques to assess system performance, capability and reliability, delivering insights that inform research outcomes and operational decision-making.
In this cooperative role, you will develop statistical models and data-driven solutions using tools such as R and Python, transform complex datasets into meaningful insights, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Working across research,
industry and government projects, you will contribute to nationally significant defence-related initiatives while supporting innovation, best-practice data management and a positive team culture.
Your responsibilities will include
- Data analysis, statistical modelling, and algorithm development to support work with the Department of Defence.
- Develop code in R and Python.
- Provide statistical, mathematical, and optimisation expertise for projects with other industry and government partners as required.
- Write reports and presentations for stakeholders at Curtin University and partner organisations.
