Forensics and Valuations- Seniors and Managers

Posted: 23/07/2026

Closing Date: 23/08/2026

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time

Job Category: Accounting

Numbers tell a story. In forensic accounting, the job is to find the true one and provide financial clarity when it matters most.

We're growing our national forensic team and hiring across Seniors to Managers looking to grow their Forensics and Valuations experience and contribute to leading engagements and shaping the practice. If forensic accounting and/or business valuations is where you want to specialise, we want to hear from you.

Job Description

The work

Our forensic team sits at the intersection of accounting, law and investigation. Depending on the engagement, you could be:

- Preparing expert witness reports and giving evidence in court or arbitration
- Valuing businesses and assets for disputes, transactions or family law matters
- Quantifying economic loss and loss of profits, including business interruption claims
- Investigating suspected fraud or malfeasance, tracing funds and reconstructing financial records
- Reviewing business processes and controls to work out how, and why, something went wrong
- Supporting our insolvency practitioners with forensic and financial analysis on complex external administrations
- Briefing lawyers, liaising with regulators and clients, and translating dense financial findings into plain English for people who aren't accountants

No two files look the same.

This work sits behind some of the most contested and high-stakes financial questions businesses and individuals face and every report you write needs to hold up under scrutiny.

The opportunity

We're building our established national forensic practice, with roles open in Melbourne, and the possibility of working interstate out of one of our other offices. You'll be part of one national team, working alongside forensic specialists and drawing on their experience as much as your own. We pride ourselves on winning and working on interesting and complex mid-market matters.

There are countless opportunities to build and grow your career, your experience and your network, including becoming a testifying expert or lead investigator if that is what you aspire to.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll bring

- Professional services experience post degree qualification - a few years for Senior-level applicants, six or more for Manager and above
- A background in valuations, insolvency, forensic accounting, business services and/or audit;
- CA or CPA qualification; Business Valuation or Forensic Accounting specialisation with CA ANZ is highly regarded
- Confidence in Excel and core forensic tools;
- Explicit, precise writing and the composure to hold your position when it's tested including under cross-examination and tight deadlines
- A naturally inquisitive mind: comfortable in the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture, with the tenacity to chase down what's unusual
