The part you will play
The Best Start program Supervisor facilitates and builds effective working relationships between a range of sector partners to secure the delivery of identified work priorities. The successful applicant must hold a tertiary qualification in early childhood, human/social sciences, community development or related field combined with at least 5 years’ experience in an appropriate role.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Support and facilitate the Best Start Partnership to achieve their stated outcomes for children in greatest need
- Engage and build partnerships with key stakeholders
- Facilitate the review of data, evidence and local knowledge with the Partnership to identify strategies for trial
- Coach partner organisations to embed an improvement approach within their work, guiding the creation of change ideas for testing
- Facilitate the review of the trialled change ideas and the decisions to adopt, abandon or adapt further
- Communicate improvement cycle outcomes,
supporting the scale up and replication of strategic actions within and between Best Start sites
As part of the Children and Families team you will work closely with internal and external early years sector stakeholders.

- Engaging and networking effectively with Aboriginal and mainstream services
- Reviewing data, evidence and local knowledge to identify community needs
- Ensuring stakeholder, partnership and community feedback is sought to guide improvement ideas
