Job Description

- Ensureup-to-date knowledge of rates,packagesand operational details of the hotelin order tobe able to handle site inspections with the hotel’s client base.

- Handle all incoming telephone calls and follow through using own initiative.

- Assistin telemarketing for new clients and define their potential to the business,preparing aweekly outcome summary report DOSM.

- AssisttheDOSMwithadministration asrequired,maintainingelectronicfiles of allcontracts, wholesaler,groupand corporate rates.Assistwith any specified projects relating to internal/external promotions.

- Assist theDOSM withproposals,drafting documents, mail-outsand outgoing communication material.

- Ensure thehotels’marketing guidelines andbrand standards are adhered too.

- Assistin the distribution of materials whenrequirede.g. hotel brochures, sales kits for external promotions.

- Complete organisation of conference activity / events from confirmation to post-event follow-upin order toensure client satisfaction.

- Co-ordinate between conferencing and other relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences have been made.

- Attend and activelyparticipateindaily &weekly; Banquet Event Order meetings and,



whereappropriate, sales meetings respecting the confidentiality of issues that may be discussed formally or informally.

- Assistasrequiredin the management of food and beverage service within the conferencing and outside catering areas.

- Assistin the maintenance of conference database of key contacts / clients, as well as othersalesand marketing activities(prospect call, marketing activity and support when coordinated by linemanager).

- Preparation and follow-up of conference proposals in conjunction with the Sales Manager,covering venue, function,menuand accommodation costs.

- Co-ordination and hosting of familiarization and site inspection activity including follow-up.

Qualifications

- Minimum 12 months’ experience in either hotel operations or an events and salesrole.

- An understanding of the Hotels property management systemwill bean advantage,along with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Bachelor or tertiary qualified hospitality qualifications
