12 month temporary part-time (0.50 FTE) appointment with possible further temporary and/or permanent appointment

About the role

The Animal Care Technician provides support to the Animal Care Education Team and Portfolio and assists to maintain a safe workplace. They will ensure all tools, equipment, training aids and animal care surgeries and reception areas are maintained and kept in a serviceable condition. They will also purchase equipment, liaise with contractors and carry out general maintenance.

Suitability Requirements and Eligibility

To be considered eligible for employment, you must possess current and valid Australian work rights, such as Australian citizenship, permanent residency or an appropriate working visa. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

You must also hold, or have the ability to obtain, a Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Working with Children (WWC) Card. Appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of any mandatory pre-employment screening requirements.
