About our role:

Gladstone is a special assistance (alternative) school operatedby Carinity, serving students from Years 7 to 12 who have foundmainstream schooling challenging or unsuitable.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to joinour team, someone who will contribute to our mission of offeringindividualised learning, restorative relationships, and pathways to approach hope, engagement and future success. In this role, you will providehigh-level assistance to the Principal, predominantly through theleadership of the school staff teams, organising, leading, andmaintaining the quality of the schools’ individual casework.

Your day-to-day will involve:

- Leading the school’s wellbeing and case managementframeworks to support positive student outcomes
- Build solid, trusting relationships with students andcoordinating individual support strategies to address barriersto learning and engagement
- Working collaboratively with teachers, youth workers, andexternal services to provide holistic support and improvestudent attendance, wellbeing, and achievement
- Supporting and leading school staff through mentoring, teammeetings, professional development and a student-centredapproach to service delivery
- Assisting the Principal with school operations, compliance,and strategic priorities, including deputising when requiredand overseeing key administrative processes and studentrecords

In addition,

- Qualified and hold a current QLD Teachers Registration
- Significant demonstrated experience in providing educationand support to marginalised young people.
- Knowledge or training in trauma-informed practice,restorative practices or behaviour supports
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising staff toensure quality service, team spirit, and effective timemanagement of resources within a secondary schoolenvironment
- Strong organisational skills, time management and recordkeeping
- Possession of a valid Driver’s Licence
- Hold a current Blue Card Exemption
