About the Role

Join BDO's National Forensic team and play a key role in helping organisations navigate complex and sensitive matters involving fraud, corruption, misconduct and other workplace or regulatory investigations. As a manager, you will lead and deliver high-profile investigations across a diverse range of industries, providing trusted, independent advice that helps clients mitigate risk, strengthen governance and make informed decisions.

BDO's Forensic Services help mitigate and resolve high-risk matters involving investigations, forensic technology, data analytics and forensic accounting, and help organisations create and embed proactive risk and compliance frameworks to retain value.

Current Opportunity

As a Manager within our National Forensic team, you will take the lead in coordinating and delivering complex investigations from commencement through to conclusion. Working closely with clients, legal advisors and internal specialists, you will oversee all stages of the investigative process, from evidence gathering and analysis through to reporting and stakeholder engagement.

You will also play an key leadership role within the team by mentoring junior professionals, promoting best-practice investigative methodologies and contributing to the development of our growing forensic investigations capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage multiple investigations simultaneously involving allegations of fraud, corruption, misconduct and other sensitive matters.
- Plan and execute investigative procedures, including evidence collection and analysis, witness interviews and coordination of forensic technology, accounting and data analytics specialists.
- Prepare clear, well-reasoned and defensible investigation reports that withstand legal, regulatory and public scrutiny.
- Deliver fraud, corruption and integrity awareness training to clients and stakeholders.
- Build trusted client relationships through exceptional service, proactive communication and practical advice throughout the investigation lifecycle.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis to identify,



assess and present complex forensic and technical evidence.
- Support presentations and reporting to senior stakeholders, legal representatives, industrial tribunals and courts where required.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through coaching, technical guidance, workload management and quality reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the promotion of best-practice investigative standards across the team.

About You

You are an experienced investigations professional with a strong commitment to integrity, objectivity and delivering high-quality outcomes. You thrive in a rapid-paced environment, can confidently manage sensitive matters and possess the ability to analyse complex information while maintaining attention to detail.

- A relevant tertiary qualification, with accounting or related professional qualifications highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex investigations from planning through to reporting.
- Strong knowledge of fraud, corruption and misconduct investigations across both public and private sectors, including relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- A proven ability to produce high-quality investigative reports that are clear, concise and evidence based.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial, technical or evidentiary information.
- Strong quality assurance capabilities, including reviewing the work of others and providing constructive feedback.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
