Stokes Rousseau is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Estimator to join our growing Melbourne team and lead tenders across a diverse portfolio of commercial, heritage, and refurbishment projects.

You'll lead estimating and cost planning activities while helping to strengthen systems and processes that support our continued success.

You will lead tenders from initial review through to final submission and handover, with responsibility for:
Managing the end-to-end tender process, including EOI and RFT submissions
Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities and tender pricing across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects, from concept through to Design & Construct tenders
Reviewing and analysing construction tender documents, plans, drawings and specifications to understand scope of work and identify potential cost drivers and risk
Leading quantity take-offs and obtaining, assessing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure complete scope coverage
Attending site inspections, tender interviews and represent Stokes Rousseau during the procurement stage
Developing tender methodologies, construction programs and commercially persuasive submissions
Maintaining and improving the company’s cost database, benchmark information and estimating resources
Conducting cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle
Monitoring and reporting on project costs, providing detailed updates to the project team and stakeholders
Assessing and value variations and claims, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations
Providing post-project cost analysis and lessons learned to support continuous improvement
Mentoring junior estimating staff as the team grows
Contributing to the continued growth of the business by identifying emerging opportunities, supporting business development initiatives and helping secure strategically aligned project opportunities.
