Our client is a well-established and highly regarded Tasmanian contractor with a strong presence across industrial and commercial projects. With continued growth and a healthy pipeline of upcoming work throughout the North West Coast, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their team and play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the region.
Your new role
Reporting to the Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of industrial electrical projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Managing multiple electrical projects from planning through to completion
- Leading and coordinating electricians, apprentices and subcontractors
- Monitoring project budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Preparing and managing variations, claims and contract administration activities
- Providing on-site leadership and ensuring quality project outcomes
- Managing subcontractor performance and stakeholder relationships
- Producing project reports including cost-to-complete forecasts, labour planning and cash flow projections
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant safety standards, regulations and company procedures
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering industrial electrical projects
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams
- Sound commercial understanding, including budgeting and project financial management
- Experience managing progress claims, variations and contract administration
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A robust commitment to workplace health, safety and quality
- Current Electrical Workers Licence
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Experience within industrial environments and exposure to complex electrical systems will be highly regarded
