Anglicare NSW South, NSW West & ACT (Anglicare) is a not-for-profit organisation currently seeking Nominated Supervisor / Service Director & Educational Leader of Goulburn Family Day Care to join our team in Goulburn, NSW . About the Opportunity:
As the Nominated Supervisor / Service Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and regulatory compliance of the Family Day Care Service.
You will also be expected to expand the service to surrounding regions and manage the financial aspects of the service alongside the approved provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-quality, child-safe early learning and care services aligned with the National Quality Framework, EYLF, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with families, ensuring open communication and family engagement in children’s learning.
- Champion children’s rights, wellbeing, safety, and inclusion, embedding Child Safe Standards across all areas of the service.
- Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching to educators and staff to build a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development of educators and coordination staff.
- Drive continuous improvement through Quality Improvement Plan and lead the service through Assessment and Rating process.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with National Law, Regulations, National Quality Standards, and all legislative reporting obligations.
- Manage service operations, including enrolments, utilisation, attendance monitoring, administration, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, schools, allied health professionals, and government agencies.
- Lead workplace health, safety, risk management, child protection, and emergency management practices across the service.
- Promote organisational values, trauma-informed practice, and Family Day Care as a high-quality early learning option within the community.
- Commit to ongoing professional learning and maintain awareness of contemporary education and care practice to inform quality service delivery.
About You
- You hold an ACECQA‑approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- You have Leadership experience working in an Early Childhood setting.
- You have experience and/or knowledge of Family Day Care.
- You demonstrate high-level organisational and planning skills.
- You demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and upholding their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- You have an ability to lead a team of Educators and staff to achieve high quality of service delivery.
- You have an understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Quality Standards (NQS), the Early Years Learning Framework, and the My Time, Our Place Framework for learning.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation, and responsibilities in regards to maintaining a safe workplace.
- You are committed to Anglicare’s mission and values of integrity, inclusiveness, dignity, and compassion.
- You hold a current First Aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain.
- You have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) - NSW.
- You hold an approved Child Protection qualification.
- You have completed National Child Safety Training.
- You have a sound knowledge of relevant external legislation that relates to this position.
- Applicants will be required to undergo reference checks and a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment.
