- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project plans.
- Measure, cut and assemble timber and other building materials for formwork and structural works.
- Construct and install formwork, wall frames, flooring systems and other building components.
- Erect, align and secure temporary and permanent structures in accordance with project requirements.
- Install doors, windows, cladding and other carpentry elements where required.
- Carry out repairs, modifications and maintenance of timber structures and fittings.
- Coordinate material requirements and maintain efficient use of building resources on site.
- Work closely with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, quality standards and construction specifications.
- Maintain tools,
equipment and work areas in a safe and organised condition.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Certificate III or equivalent trade qualification in Carpentry 2-3 years of relevant carpentry experience in residential, commercial or construction projects are preferred
- Demonstrated experience in formwork, framing, fit-outs, flooring systems, cladding and general carpentry works.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and site plans.
- Proficiency in the secure use of carpentry tools, equipment and building materials.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within the construction industry.
- Current White Card and valid driver's licence preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a construction team to meet project deadlines
