We are an award-winning Vitamin/Dietary supplementmanufacturing business looking to recruit an experienced senior Quality Control Chemist to join our team. Located in a purpose-built, TGA licensed facility on Sydney's Northern Beaches, our business supplies ingredients globally across the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Chemistry/Pharmacy orrelated scientific field
Experience in HPLC and/or UPLC use (minimum 3 years)
Experience in method development for other tests relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. GC, FTIR, UV-VIS spectrometry etc.
Previous Pharmaceutical (GMP) or related industry experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of pharmacopoeial and non-pharmacopeial chemical, spectroscopic, and instrumental techniques.
Strong knowledge of QC/QA procedures within the laboratory
Enjoys hands on laboratory work
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with good technical accuracy.
Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively within a team
Tasks & responsibilities
Assist with implementing new HPLC methods, in addition to conducting QC testing
Work within a team to meet project requirements on time
Develop analytical methods to characterise raw materials and products which meet quality and customer requirements.
Interpret analytical data and correlate results to material properties
Prepare test methods, specifications,
protocols and reports in a compliance with cGMP and regulator’s requirements
Conduct analysis in a timely manner; document results according to the appropriate quality standard and in compliance with cGMP and any other industry or regulatory requirements.
Conduct routine testing of raw materials, finished product and stability trials to support product manufacturing as required.
Support identification and implementation of new analytical technologies
Diagnose and troubleshoot instrument problems and apply corrective actions.
Provide training to junior laboratory staff in new and existing methods, instruments and procedures.
Be highly motivated with a positive ethos
Strong initiative and a willingness to take on projects in a fast-paced setting
Have high attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Able to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels, with strong written and oral English language skills
Experience in Complementary Health industry is preferred, or alternatively in a similar Manufacturing Industry (e.g. pharmaceutical).
Demonstrate sound knowledge of GMP and the TGA's (Therapeutic Goods Administration) related guidelines
Understand production processes and development limitations
Able to work autonomously as part of a small team
