WA Insurance Builders (WAIB) is one of Western Australia's leading insurance repair and restoration companies. We work with major insurers, brokers, strata managers and homeowners to restore properties following insured events.
We're looking for an organised and customer-focused Claims Support Officer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building relationships, managing multiple tasks, and ensuring claims progress smoothly from lodgement through to completion.
About the Role
As a Claims Support officer, you will be the central point of contact for customers, insurers, project managers, and subcontractors throughout the insurance repair process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with claim administration and data entry
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct enquiries
- Schedule appointments and inspections for supervisors
- Coordinate activities between supervisors/project managers, trades and suppliers
- Prepare letters, reports and customer communications
- Manage a small portfolio of insurance building claims from allocation to completion
- Maintain regular communication with homeowners, insurers, brokers and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records within our claims management systems
- Assist in resolving customer enquiries and issues professionally and efficiently
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and business processes
About You
- Previous experience in insurance, construction, repair management, customer service or administration
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Solid organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
