We are currently seeking experienced Charge-Up Operators for an exciting opportunity at a well-established underground gold mining operation in Victoria.
This is a FIFO position available to candidates across Australia, offering a family-friendly 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.

Key Responsibilities
- Load explosives into drilled development and production holes and prepare the blast for the authorised shotfirer
- Check the face or production holes against the charge plan.
- Transport, handle and load explosives in accordance with site controls.
- Install primers, boosters and NONEL, electronic or other approved initiation systems.
- Connect the blast, identify missing or blocked holes and report discrepancies.
- Establish barricades and exclusion controls.
- Return unused explosives and complete required records.
- Identify and manage suspected misfires under the site procedure.
Essential Requirements
- Previous underground charge-up experience (12 months minimum)
- Experience on Normet Charmac LC605 or equivalent charge-up rigs, ANFO or emulsion systems, loading hose, boosters, detonators, primers, firing line, barricades and approved explosive transport equipment
- Current Shot Firer's Licence
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- Current Working at Heights ticket
- National Police Clearance
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
