Supported by SHAPE’s national capability and strong Victorian leadership, the Kinglake team is helping drive the growth of modular construction across education, health, commercial and community sectors throughout Victoria.

Overview

You’ll play a key role as Business Development Manager for our Modular business in Kinglake. Your role will involve building relationships, opening doors and helping grow the future of modular construction across Victoria. You will work alongside a passionate, driven team to put Modular by SHAPE on the map, grow our presence across the market, build brand awareness through industry events and expos, and connect clients with smarter, faster building solutions that shape what’s next. We have office facilities in the Melbourne CBD & Kinglake and will support hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a strategic sales activity plan aligned to key industry relationships.
- Generate new project opportunities through early engagement with clients and consultants.
- Build repeat business with existing clients across SHAPE sectors.
- Build, grow and nurture the Modular by SHAPE sales pipeline to support continued growth and strengthen our presence across the Victorian modular construction market.
- Collaborate with internal teams to position SHAPE strongly in negotiated opportunities.
- Actively contribute to improving sales processes,



systems and customer engagement strategies across the business.

What you’ll bring

You’re a natural relationship builder who knows how to spot opportunities, open doors and turn conversations into long‑term partnerships. You thrive working alongside technical and delivery teams, connecting clients with smart solutions that drive real results.

- Minimum 5 years’ business development experience in the construction or property industry.
- Demonstrated success winning negotiated outcomes with end clients through solution selling.
- Experience within the education, accommodation or government sectors would be highly regarded.
- Extensive industry network across clients, consultants or property stakeholders.
- Experience managing sales pipelines and reporting activities through CRM systems.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across a range of stakeholders.
- Collaborative and proactive mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities.
