The Opportunity
Love working behind the scenes to keep incredible marine habitats running at their best? Join the team at Sea World and play a vital role in maintaining the life support systems that help ensure the health, welfare and wellbeing of our marine animals every day.

As a Life Support System Technician , you'll be responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the life support systems that service Sea World's marine animal pools. This hands-on role combines technical maintenance, water quality management and system operations to help create optimal conditions for our animals and world-class guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the day-to-day operation of our life support systems, you’ll be:

- Conducting daily inspections and operational checks of life support systems.
- Performing backwashing and routine maintenance to keep filtration systems running efficiently.
- Maintaining optimal water quality to support marine animal health and welfare.
- Undertaking water testing and analysing results to ensure required standards are met.




- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of pumps, filtration equipment and associated systems.
- Monitoring chemical stock levels and safely handling, transporting and decanting chemicals.
- Collaborating with other departments to support maintenance and operational requirements across marine habitats.
- Participating in after-hours maintenance and emergency response work as required.

What We7re Looking For

We're seeking someone who is hands-on, safety-focused and enjoys solving problems. You’ll bring:

- Previous experience working with large aquarium, aquatic or filtration systems (highly desirable).
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pumps and associated equipment.
- Knowledge of PVC plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to support after-hours maintenance requirements when needed.
