We are seeking a high-performing Senior Structural Engineer / Supervising RPEQ to join a newly established bespoke residential and multi-residential engineering team within a well-established Brisbane engineering business with over 3 decades of industry experience.

This is a unique chance for a technically strong engineer to take ownership of complex, high-quality projects while helping shape and grow a specialist team within an established organisation.

Working across bespoke homes, renovations, boutique multi-residential developments and architecturally detailed projects, you will be responsible for delivering projects from tender through to completion, including design, documentation, inspections, construction support, client liaison and RPEQ certification.

This is not a design-only role. The business is looking for an experienced RPEQ engineer who enjoys taking ownership, solving practical engineering challenges and working closely with builders, architects, designers and clients.

In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For

- Managing projects from tender through to completion
- Completing structural design, documentation and technical reviews
- Undertaking site inspections and providing practical construction-stage advice
- Reviewing and certifying designs as required under RPEQ responsibilities
- Liaising with builders, architects, certifiers, developers and clients
- Supporting the continued growth of a new specialist engineering team

Project Experience Includes:

- Bespoke and custom residential homes




- Complex renovations, extensions and modifications
- Boutique multi-residential developments up to approximately 4 storeys
- Concrete structures and suspended slabs
- Structural steel elements
- Footing systems, screw piling and difficult site conditions
- Reactive soils and challenging residential sites
- Architectural timber structures

About You:

- Current RPEQ registration (essential)
- 7-10+ years’ structural engineering experience
- Minimum 5+ years demonstrated RPEQ signing, review or supervising experience
- Strong residential and multi-residential structural engineering background
- Experience managing projects from concept through completion
- Strong foundations knowledge, including slabs, footings, reactive soils and screw piling
- Practical construction knowledge with the ability to provide buildable solutions
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and project stakeholders
- Experience with structural design software such as SPACE GASS, Microstran, Strand7, RAPT, AutoCAD, Revit or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
