Paradise Outdoor Advertising (POA) is seeking an experienced Agency Partnership Manager to grow our relationships and advertising revenue across media agencies in Brisbane and, where required, other Eastern Seaboard markets.
This is a commercially focused role for someone who knows how media agencies operate, can build trusted relationships with planners, buyers and investment teams, and is equally comfortable developing established accounts and proactively creating new opportunities.
About the role
You will be responsible for increasing POA's share of agency briefs and campaign investment by developing strong relationships, responding strategically to briefs and proactively identifying opportunities across our outdoor advertising portfolio.
This is not a purely account-management role. You will be expected to prospect actively, including contacting lapsed agencies, smaller and independent agencies, emerging agency teams and new decision-makers within established agency groups.
The position is based in South East Queensland, with a strong focus on servicing Brisbane-based agencies. It may also include responsibility for selected agencies in other states, particularly along the Eastern Seaboard, with travel required from time to time.
What you will do
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with media planners, buyers and investment teams, strategists and senior agency stakeholders.
- Grow POA's share of briefs, recommendations, schedules and campaign investment across an allocated portfolio of agencies.
- Proactively prospect for current business through telephone outreach, networking, referrals, meetings and targeted account-development activity.
- Re-engage lapsed agencies and develop smaller, independent and emerging agencies that may not currently have an active relationship with POA.
- Identify new contacts and opportunities within established agency groups rather than relying only on existing relationships.
- Interpret campaign briefs and prepare timely, persuasive and commercially sound out-of-home recommendations, schedules, quotations and presentations.
- Proactively present relevant inventory, market opportunities, audience insights, new assets and campaign ideas before a formal brief is issued.
- Develop strategic account plans and contact strategies for priority agencies and advertiser portfolios.
- Manage pricing, negotiations, availability, holds, booking timelines and commercial outcomes within approved parameters.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, CRM records, activity reporting and revenue forecasts.
- Work closely with POA's sales, design, operations and finance teams to ensure campaigns are delivered professionally and client expectations are met.
- Represent POA at agency meetings, presentations, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Monitor agency movements, client wins and losses, competitor activity and broader media-market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Travel interstate or regionally from time to time to service agency relationships, pursue opportunities and represent POA.
What we are looking for
Mandatory: demonstrated experience selling media or advertising solutions to media agencies. Applicants without media-agency sales experience will not be considered for this role.
- A proven ability to generate new business, grow existing accounts and achieve revenue targets.
- Established relationships within media agencies, or a strong record of developing agency relationships quickly.
- A practical understanding of media planning, buying, investment and campaign approval processes.
- Confidence making proactive calls, opening new conversations and following up consistently.
- The ability to interpret briefs and turn audience, location and inventory information into persuasive campaign recommendations.
- Solid presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- Commercial judgement, attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- The ability to manage multiple agency relationships, priorities and deadlines with limited supervision.
- Competence using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and sales-reporting tools.
- A current driver licence and willingness to travel from time to time.
Highly regarded
- Experience in out-of-home advertising or a strong understanding of the out-of-home media channel.
- Relationships across Brisbane media agencies and broader Eastern Seaboard agency markets.
- Experience using audience data, market insights or media measurement tools in a sales environment.
- Experience working within an independent, growing or regionally based media business.
- Represent a strong and growing Queensland outdoor advertising portfolio.
- Work directly with an experienced and accessible leadership team.
- Help shape POA's agency strategy and build relationships that have a visible commercial impact.
- Enjoy flexible working arrangements while remaining connected to clients and the broader team.
- Operate with genuine autonomy, accountability and opportunity to grow.
- Join a collaborative, energetic and results-focused independent media business.
This role will suit a proactive agency salesperson who enjoys building relationships, opening doors and converting opportunities into long-term revenue.
