About The Role
As Membership and Pre-Assessments Support, you will play an important role in helping Engineers Australia deliver a smooth, efficient and positive experience for applicants and members. You’ll provide key administrative and operational support across membership and assessment pathways, helping the team improve productivity, reduce processing times and meet service level commitments. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail, coordination and contributing to meaningful work that supports Australia’s engineering profession.
Location
Canberra-based role with a hybrid working model. You’ll work from the office a minimum of two days per week, with Thursdays set as the team collaboration day.
In This Role You Will
- Provide administrative and operational support across Membership and Independent Practice Assessment pathways.
- Assist with the assessment and preparation of membership applications, including general, distinguished and National Membership Committee submissions.
- Support applicants, referees and internal stakeholders by responding to enquiries, following up missing information and coordinating assessment interviews.
- Monitor application queues, backlog and aged applications to help reduce processing times and improve time to decision.
- Support assessors by managing administrative tasks, improving workflow efficiency and responding to second-level service enquiries.
- Contribute to process improvements,
project work and broader Engineers Australia activities that support membership, assessment outcomes and the engineering profession.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, with a sound understanding of Engineers Australia’s products and services.
- Strong organisational, administrative and computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, data entry and document preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to proofread, edit and produce high-quality work within required timeframes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, manage multiple priorities and contribute positively to team effectiveness.
