Key Responsibilities

- Measure areas, consult plans and estimate quantities of floor covering materials.
- Prepare surfaces, remove baseboard trims, and cut or orient materials.
- Measure, cut and fix underlay materials.
- Lay coverings such as carpets, linoleum, parquet blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials; match patterns, cut shapes around fixtures and trim edges.
- Secure floor coverings and fit edge trims in doorways.
- Sand, stain and apply finishing coatings to timber floors; may install wall, ceiling, counter and bench coverings.

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualification or over 3 years of experience in floor finishing.
- Certification: AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on‑job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
- Construction OHS card (white card) – company will assist in obtaining.
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for site transport.
- Commercial‑grade tools supplied and maintained (tool allowance included).
