We are seeking highly experienced Business Intelligence professionals with a proven track record of leading complex cloud-based BI and analytics functions within a multifaceted, customer-focused or asset-intensive environment. About You!
To excel in the following roles, you should possess:
- Substantial experience in the management and leadership of a high‑performing team, achieving agreed outcomes.
- A tertiary qualification in data analytics or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics in a complex public facing or asset intensive operational industry.
- Highly developed understanding of Business Intelligence concepts, technologies, tools, and management.
Level 6 - Business Intelligence Specialist (33201)
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing BI platforms and tools, particularly Power BI, with deep knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, ETL, data warehousing, and self‑service analytics.
- Proven ability to lead BI modernisation projects, implement robust, sustainable and scalable solutions, and uphold data governance standards, backed by relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in the field.
- Strong ability to interpret complex datasets, identify key trends, and deliver practical, data‑driven solutions that support strategic decision‑making and business performance.

The level 7, Business Intelligence Manager role is available as a fixed‑term, full‑time opportunity until 30 April 2027 to cover a maternity leave, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
To be eligible for this fixed‑term chance, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights that extend until at least 30 April 2027.
The level 6, Business Intelligence Specialist role is available as a permanent, full‑time opportunity.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
Applicants assessed as suitable may be used to fill similar vacancies at the same classification level on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
