Job Description
Ability Action Australia's Western Sydney team is looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners at all experience and suitability levels in Penrith, Blacktown, or Windsor.
Whether you are just starting your Behaviour Support career or have experience at Core, Proficient or Advanced levels, this is an opportunity to make a real impact, take ownership of your work, and build your capability in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
- Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person‑centred planning
- Owning the assessment, development and delivery of evidence‑based support plans within a complex support environment
- Driving meaningful goals and measurable outcomes, using a positive behaviour support framework and self‑commitment to eliminating restrictive practices
- Ensuring plans reflect each participant’s goals, strengths and what matters most to them
- Building the capability, confidence and understanding of those supporting participants in their day‑to‑day lives
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team,
including mentoring less experienced practitioners
Qualifications
- Degree qualification as an allied health professional
- Experience in report writing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach, with a drive to improve outcomes and test new ideas
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
