Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.

We are seeking to appoint two experienced practitioners to the full-time (1.0 FTE), temporary position of People & Culture Advisor. These 12-month opportunities are available due to internal movement and parental leave cover, commencing in late September 2026. These hybrid roles have a combination of on-campus and working from home. Successful candidates will be required to work from our St Kilda Road and Glen Waverley campuses several days per week.

Working closely with the broader People & Culture team, the People & Culture Advisor provides professional, people-focused support to managers and employees across designated client groups. The role is responsible for delivering timely advice on employment matters, supporting people processes and contributing to a positive employee experience.





The successful candidate will bring at least three years' experience in a People & Culture role involving direct stakeholder support and advice, ideally within the education or professional services sector. Demonstrated experience using HRIS/ERP and Learning Management Systems (LMS), together with advanced computer literacy skills, is essential.

With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will be confident building productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. They will demonstrate a strong customer-service focus, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering responsive, high-quality People & Culture support.

A current Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate are essential requirements of this role.
