The EQ Hotel is a new luxury hotel opening in the heart of Perth. We are seeking a licensed Plumber (Hydraulic Services) to join our pre-opening Engineering team and support the installation, maintenance, and operation of the hotel’s hydraulic systems.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced commercial plumber who enjoys working in a hotel environment and contributing to a professional, safety-focused Engineering team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems across the hotel, including water supply, drainage, and associated services. The role supports both pre-opening readiness and ongoing operations and may include duties beyond plumbing where appropriate and permitted by licensing.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, repairs, and preventative servicing of hydraulic systems

Maintain hot and cold-water systems, sanitary plumbing, and drainage

Support fire services and gas systems where licensed and endorsed

Ensure all work complies with WA plumbing regulations, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive works via the maintenance system

Record all maintenance tasks, faults, and corrective actions accurately

Liaise with the Chief Engineer and external contractors as required

Participate in a rotating shift roster, including weekends and public holidays

Workplace Health & Safety

Follow safe work practices and manual handling procedures

Identify and report hazards, incidents, and equipment faults promptly

Use PPE and tools correctly and maintain a safe,



clean work environment

Be familiar with fire and emergency procedures

About You

Trade-qualified Plumber with a valid WA plumbing licence

Commercial or hotel plumbing experience preferred

Robust fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physically capable of performing manual and access-related tasks

Good communication skills and a service-focused mindset

Full working rights in Australia
