Overview
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will build deep expertise while working within a specialised team such as Intake, Assessment, Case Management or Out of Home Care.
You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding children and young people by:
- Responding to and assessing reports of children at risk of harm
- Working directly with families to improve safety, stability, and wellbeing
- Managing cases and coordinating interventions with other professionals
- Preparing reports and participating in court processes when required
- Building strong partnerships with children, families, and service providers

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience or knowledge in casework, community work, social work, or human services
- Ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions
- High levels of resilience, emotional intelligence, and integrity
- Genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing
- A relevant qualification in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, Community Services) at Diploma level or higher
- A Tasmanian Registration to work with Vulnerable People (or ability to obtain)
- A valid driver’s licence
Condition of Employment
- Salary: $88,204 to $115,529 per annum + 12% Superannuation
- Classification: Allied Health Skilled Level 1-2
- Award/Agreement: Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement
- Hours of Work: 76 hours per fortnight
