Position: Waiter, full‑time. Employer: The trustee for Yeum Family Trust (ROAST AND NOODLES 328). Location: Shop 15, The Galleria Shopping Centre, 37-39 Smith St, Darwin City, NT, Australia 0800.
We are seeking enthusiastic, service‑focused Waiters to join our Cantonese dining team, led by the Restaurant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Open the shop: check fridges, set up the register, and stock condiments and sauces.
- Greet customers and take orders (including any special requests).
- Recommend signature roast dishes such as roast duck rice and BBQ pork with rice, and daily specials.
- Pass all orders to the kitchen accurately.
- Serve meals, transparent tables, wipe surfaces, and keep the dining area clean and tidy.
- Handle payments – operate POS and EFTPOS.
- Deal with customer enquiries and resolve any issues politely.
- Restock supplies (cutlery, napkins, sauces) and follow hygiene and safety regulations.
- Close the shop: clean, pack up, restock, and secure the premises.
Requirements
- 1+ year of waiter experience in hospitality.
- Articulate English speaker – written and verbal.
- Tech‑savvy: POS operations (e.g., Square) and roster software.
- AU Citizens/Permanent Residents encouraged.
