Purpose that counts.

As a Bridgeworker (Structures/Civil Labourer) you will carry out maintenance and repair work on our structures, including steel, timber, and concrete bridges, as well as some drainage systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe work practices are used and quality standards are met.

This position is always in the field so you must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be comfortable working from heights.

There are two positions available, one based at Townsville and one at Ayr.



They both sit within our Townsville Structures team and are part of our Northern Network Operations business responsible for managing the maintenance and reliability of our rail network, ensuring it is secure and reliable for the people of Queensland.

Salary and roster

- 9 on and 5 off roster
- Working on the current roster you can expect to earn over $85,000 + 12.75% super.

People who count. To be considered for this position you must:

- Hold a current open class drivers licence
- Have recent labouring / TA experience
- Have a safety focused attitude
- Be comfortable working from heights
