About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Fruit & Veg Team Member to join our busy produce department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with fresh food, takes pride in presentation, and understands the importance of quality and food safety.

As part of the Fruit & Veg team, you will be responsible for ensuring products are presented to the high standards our customers expect. You will also assist with general department duties including stocking, rotating produce, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

This role involves early morning starts and regular manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and restocking heavy cartons and produce. Applicants must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and able to safely perform repetitive lifting throughout shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
- Ensuring fruit is fresh,



well‑presented, and rotated correctly
- Monitoring product quality and removing any fruit that does not meet standards
- Packaging and labelling products accurately
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining a clean preparation area
- Supporting the produce team when required

Skills & Experience:

- Experience working with fresh produce or in a supermarket environment (preferred but not essential)
- Valuable knife skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliability and ability to work early mornings or weekends if required
- Experience in a supermarket, fresh produce, deli or food preparation environment is highly desirable
