Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) – Fitzroy Campus, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne

We are looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring re‑usable medical devices are sterilised and ready for use, contributing directly to patient safety and healthcare efficiency.

About the Role

This permanent full‑time role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standard of sterilisation for patient care. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager – CSSD and the team to deliver efficient and high‑quality service.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager – CSSD and the team.
- Ensure the philosophy and values of St Vincent’s Private Melbourne are inherent in the delivery of health care.
- Identify and support the implementation of best practice in CSSD activities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Extensive experience in CSSD and comprehensive medical instrument knowledge.
- Knowledge in high level disinfection, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices (RMDs).




- Knowledge of loan equipment and sterile stores processes.
- Leadership and management skills, working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager – CSSD and the team.
- Certificate in Sterilisation Services (desirable).
