Troocoo is proud to partner exclusively with a respected and well-established not-for-profit aged care provider to recruit an experienced Lifestyle Therapy Coordinator.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by creating engaging lifestyle and wellness programs that enhance the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of older Australians. You'll work closely with residents, families, volunteers, and the wider care team to deliver meaningful experiences every day.
About The Role
As the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will develop, coordinate, and facilitate person-centred lifestyle programs that encourage participation, independence, and social connection. You'll lead a dedicated lifestyle team while ensuring programs align with residents' individual interests, goals, and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lifestyle Programs & Resident Wellbeing
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging lifestyle, recreational, and therapeutic activities
- Develop individual and group programs that support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing
- Complete resident lifestyle assessments and care planning
- Encourage resident participation and foster meaningful community engagement
- Organise special events, celebrations, outings, and volunteer activities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Coordinate and support Lifestyle Assistants and volunteers
- Work collaboratively with clinical staff and allied health professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and community organisations
- Promote continuous improvement across lifestyle services
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and activity records
- Ensure programs comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies
- Monitor program outcomes and implement improvements based on resident feedback
- Support accreditation and quality improvement initiatives
About You
You're an enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative professional who enjoys helping older people live meaningful and fulfilling lives. You bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for delivering engaging lifestyle programs.
Qualifications And Knowledge
Essential
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (qualified only).
- Light Rigid Bus Licence (Class LR) or ability to acquire this licence within three months of commencement, depending on the transport requirements of the particular facility.
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
- Knowledge and application of person-centred preference-driven philosophies.
Desirable
- Diploma of Leisure and Health.
- Certificate III in Aged Care.
Compliance Requirements
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Influenza Vaccination and COVID-19 Vaccination (where required)
- Sponsorship is not available for this position
