Meriton Suites currently has an opportunity for an experienced Rooms Division Manager to join our Surfers Paradise team.
As the Rooms Division Manager, you will report to the Hotel General Manager and be responsible for leading our front office and housekeeping operations whilst working cohesively with the other departments.
Your key responsibilities
- Support and lead the front office operations and team.
- Facilitate a positive workplace culture through effective leadership, collaboration and team development.
- Close the loop on guest feedback with critical thinking and robust guest connections.
- Ensure daily front desk tasks and expectations are communicated, actioned and completed.
- Drive positive guest experiences, both individually and across your team.
- Manage the roster and payroll financials.
- Work with our Hotel Manager to maintain the building's presentation and upkeep.
- Ensure Meriton Suites standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Be able to manage the hotel in absence of the Hotel General Manager.
To be successful in this role you will
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the hospitality industry, 2 of those years' experience need to be in a management leadership position.
- Previous management experience in a 4/5-star property both front office and housekeeping desirable.
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Business.
- Strong knowledge of the hotel/serviced apartment sector.
- Previous experience with a known Property Management System.
- Fair knowledge of workplace relations.
- Previous experience in Training and Development
- An understanding of revenue and financial reporting
