Project Manager - Branch Leadership | Electrical & Communications

Our client is a long-established national infrastructure business with decades of delivery behind them, and their Canberra operation is ready for its next leader. You'll run the ACT branch end to end, the projects, the people, the clients, the direction, with the systems, contracts and support of a proven national business behind you.

Why this role is different

- Genuine autonomy. A team of six trades professionals reports directly to you. You manage the quoting, labour allocation, supplier relationships and client liaison.
- Around 80% of the work flows from long-standing national contracts, data centres, commercial projects, aged care and schools. You will be building on an established client base.
- The branch currently runs about 70% communications and 30% electrical, but you'll have the autonomy to shift that mix and scale the team as you grow the business.
- The majority of projects sit within 20 minutes of the office.
- Security clearance? They'll sponsor it. Australian Citizenship is required, and if you don't hold a clearance, the business will apply on your behalf from day one. If you already hold one, even better.
- A promotion culture that's real. Many of the company's leaders started as apprentices and grew through tradesman, supervisor and coordinator roles into project management. What your week looks like

You'll typically run one to two active projects alongside a steady book of repeat service works on established pricing. Day to day, that means managing quotes and ordering, allocating labour,



staying close to clients and suppliers, mentoring your technicians and apprentices, and keeping safety and commercial performance front and centre.

You'll report to a Sydney-based Program Manager who visits regularly for support.

Who succeeds here

- A project manager or senior supervisor from an electrical, communications or infrastructure contracting background.
- A natural leader who builds strong culture in small teams and isn't precious about wearing a few hats.
- Commercially sharp, comfortable with budgets, forecasting, estimating and cost control.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and energised by local client relationships. Existing Canberra networks are a genuine advantage.
- Experience with SimPRO, Bluebeam or similar scheduling and estimating tools transfers well, full training on internal systems is provided.

The package

- $165,000 base salary + superannuation.
- $15,000 vehicle allowance, plus phone allowance.
- Sign-on bonus for the successful candidate.
