Details: The Education Directorate is delivering a major reform of public education, bringing schools together as one coordinated system with consistent evidence-based practices, strongerequityand financial sustainability. We are standing up a new team and new roles to help us deliver meaningful change for children and young people in public schools.

/n

We are seeking experienced policy and project officers to help us see this change through. We need people who can work effectively in a government environment, who think critically, and whocontribute positively to a team.

/n

Senior Policy/Project Officerroles are available in multiple teams and may work flexibly to support projects across the branchand Directorate. If you are aproblem-solver, acollaborative team member, a goodcommunicatorand a motivated operator, these might be the roles for you.

The Strategic Policy branch is also hiring to similar roles at the Assistant Directorlevel (SOGC) level. Applicants who would also be interested in roles atthatlevel may wish to apply forboth.

Note: There are some full time permanent and temporary positions available. The temporary positions are available immediately for a period of six months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

A Merit Pool will beestablishedfrom this selection process and maybe used to fill similar vacancies over the next 12 months.

The position involves hybrid work arrangements between 220 London Circuit and remote. Individual work arrangements can be negotiated with the Executive Branch Manager aligned with team need.

The Education Directorate is undertaking an organisation design program and changes to Directorate structures may occur after this rolecommences. Candidates should be prepared to work across the entire organisationin the event ofstructural changes.
