Role Overview

Join our team as a OO4 Community Engagement Ranger at Rainbow Beach and help connect visitors and communities with Queensland's unique coastal environments. This hands‑on role combines visitor engagement, customer service, sales, and the development of communication materials to support conservation and recreation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Regular compliance patrols in high‑use recreation areas such as Cooloola and Inskip Peninsula.

Engage with visitors via face‑to‑face interactions, over‑the‑counter sales, and customer service.

Develop print and web‑based communication products.

Supervise staff, ensure workplace health and safety, natural resource management, visitor compliance, and infrastructure development and maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in staff supervision, workplace health and safety, natural resource management, visitor management and compliance,



and infrastructure development and maintenance.

Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, positive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods as part of a rostered arrangement.
