Remuneration: hourly rate $41.86 plus superannuation and leave loading.

School Information

LHCS is in the Sutherland Shire suburb of Barden Ridge. Current enrolment in K-12 is 781 students, including a K-6 population of 240 and a secondary enrolment of 500. The school has a K-12 support unit with 6 classes and an enrolment of 41 students. There are 36 First Nations students.

The teaching staff deliver learning programs designed to cater for diverse learning needs, supporting students in mainstream and support unit through personalised learning and support plans.

The school prides itself on its transition-to-high-school programs and future-focused learning. Staff qualified learning, quality teaching, collaboration, and growth and attainment in literacy and numeracy are major focuses and areas for further development in K-12.

About the Role

The School Administrative Officer plays a key role in supporting the school's effective operation by delivering high-quality administrative services. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively with students, families, staff and the wider school community. This role provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support,



and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following areas: the office, sick bay, library, science laboratory, and food technology/kitchen.

Essential Requirements

- Working with Children Check clearance.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
- Administration of medications – training to be provided based on student needs.

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Administration skills including knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with teachers and students.
- Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and/or design and technology; science.
