Coordinator Community Safety/Ranger Services
Shire of Mundaring is seeking an experienced Ranger and motivated leader to coordinate the delivery of high-quality Ranger Services across the community. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team, drive service excellence, and deliver proactive programs for the community.
Reporting to the Manager Community Safety and Emergency Management, this role is responsible for coordinating community safety initiatives, leading and performing operational ranger services, and supporting emergency response initiatives.
About the role
- Leading and supporting a team delivering community safety and ranger services
- Coordinating proactive community safety programs and initiatives
- Overseeing enforcement of relevant legislation and local laws
- Supporting incident and emergency response, including after-hours response priorities
To be successful, you will demonstrate
- Hands‑on approach, working alongside as well as leading a small team
- Strong leadership experience in a community safety or regulatory environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Local Government Act, Dog Act, Cat Act, Litter Act)
- Experience managing investigations, conflict resolution and customer issues
Compensation and Benefits
- A base salary in the range of $102,511 to $108,069 pa will be offered based on qualifications, ability and experience
