About the work unit / facility

The Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit (CTRU) is a residential facility providing extensive care, rehabilitation and dual-disability treatment for people with long-term residual and complex mental health needs. The unit delivers a 24‑hour rehabilitation program designed to prepare residents for community reintergration while supporting their ongoing care needs.

About your opportunity

Join the Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), working under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse to support the delivery of safe, high‑quality mental health care. You'll assist with delegated nursing activities, contribute to person‑centred care, maintain a safe healthcare environment and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support residents through their rehabilitation journey.

Requirements

- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable).
- Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24‑hour, 7 day roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
