Casual Sports Coach

Ivanhoe Grammar School is a values driven, coeducational independent school where we strive to create a culture of belonging and inclusion.

We are looking for Sports Coaches to support our summer program 2026/2027 for AGSV teams across all campuses. The role involves training sessions after school (3:00pm – 5:30pm) and match commitments on Saturdays during the season.

What You Will Do

- Provide coaching assistance to teams and squads under the supervision of a teacher, giving direction, instruction and training to students.
- Assist with equipment and preparation for training sessions and sporting events.
- Help develop sporting skills, tactics and techniques.
- Monitor and enhance sporting performance through coaching, encouragement and constructive feedback.
- Have an interest in badminton, basketball, cricket, softball, table tennis, tennis, touch football, volleyball or yoga.

You are enthusiastic, reliable and supportive, with a genuine interest in sport and working with young people of character. You bring professionalism, initiative and a positive attitude.

You Have The Necessary Experience, Knowledge And Skills

- An interest or background in sport, coaching or physical activity, ideally with experience in a relevant sport.




- Experience assisting with coaching, training sessions or sporting programs (desirable).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
- The ability to demonstrate appropriate behaviours and professionalism when working with children.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).

- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check.

Desirable Criteria

- First Aid Certificate.
