We are seeking reliable, motivated and flexible cleaners to join our team on a temporary and casual basis across a number of schools on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

As part of a dynamic and supportive team, cleaners play an important role in maintaining safe, clean and welcoming learning environments for students, staff and visitors. We are looking for applicants who take pride in their work, have a strong attention to detail, can work independently and as part of a team, and are committed to maintaining high cleaning standards in educational settings.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight.

About The Role

- Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.
- Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program.

A range of shift options are available, including split shifts, with work typically occurring within the following timeframes:





- Morning shifts: 4:30am - 9:00am
- Afternoon shifts: 1:30pm - 5:30pm

Hours will vary depending on the operational requirements of each school and may be offered on a casual or temporary basis. This is an excellent chance for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements that can fit around other commitments.

Successful applicants must be willing to consent to a criminal history check and obtain a working with children Blue Card.

Responsibilities

- Performed cleaning and sanitising of classrooms, offices, toilets, sick bays, and common areas.
- Maintained floors, windows, furniture, equipment, and outdoor surfaces.
- Managed rubbish disposal, litter control, graffiti removal, and general site cleanliness.
- Operated and maintained cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Assisted with school security, including locking/unlocking buildings and managing alarm systems.
- Reported maintenance, safety, security, and damage issues to management.
- Liaised with staff regarding cleaning supply requirements and replacements.
- Provided general support and completed additional duties as directed.
