We currently have an opportunity for a Project Support Coordinator to join our site service team and provide support to various mine sites in the NSW and QLD regions. In this role you will assist with the delivery of Site Service maintenance for all FLS equipment and upgrade services, ensuring our projects are completed in line with contracted delivery times and meet quality requirements. This is a Mackay‑based role that may require visits to the site from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Manage all client relationship issues, maintaining a customer‑centric focus and providing solutions to customer needs.
- Liaise with customers and advise them of planned dates for work, prioritising workloads and ensuring site compliance of our personnel.
- Manage bookings of breakdowns, installations, and service visits with external stakeholders, handling service bookings and customer queries over the phone and by email.
- Schedule regular client visits to develop and maintain close relationships, understanding customer issues related to equipment downtime.
- Review and update existing procedures; initiate or develop new procedures; train and evaluate team members.
- Monitor the site and activities of the Service teams to ensure productive outcomes and optimal utilisation.
- Act as the primary contact for the selection of new/replacement Service Technicians, actively engaging in the selection process to ensure qualified applicants.
- Create a high level of team spirit and engagement by fostering an open and trusting environment where teamwork and co‑operation are valued.
- Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports, ensuring clarity on performance objectives and professional behaviours.
- React promptly to individual performance challenges and prevent escalation.
- Manage the performance and profitability of branch site service, controlling costs, maximising margins, and engaging with Site Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
- Maintain the Invoice Query database and resolve all queries within the required timeframe.
- Participate in or recommend the selection of Supervisors.
- Plan the development of identified customer opportunities and perform any other duties directed by the Field Service Manager.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of previous experience in a similar role within the mining sector.
- Experience using an ERP system.
- Current manual car driver’s licence.
- Team player with the ability to interface positively with all team members.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with customers, contractors and other personnel.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast‑paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills; ability to analyse and problem‑solve as required.
- Good organisational, multitasking and time‑management skills that deliver effective planning.
- Ability to plan work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision and set priorities for personal goals.
