Overview

Yolk Café is looking for a part-time chef to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment without the responsibility of managing staff, ordering, rostering or administration. We are looking for reliable team players who can come in, work hard, produce quality food and support the team during service. Typical shifts will be approximately 9:00am – 3:00pm, however successful applicants may occasionally be asked to commence earlier from 6:30am when required.

Responsibilities

- Food preparation
- Cooking during service
- Maintaining quality and consistency
- Keeping your section clean and organised
- Assisting with deliveries and stock organisation
- Washing equipment and cleaning kitchen areas
- Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever needed

Qualifications

- Positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work weekends when required
- Team-first mentality




- Able to work calmly under pressure
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Robust focus on cleanliness and organisation

Yolk is one of Adelaide's busiest café kitchens. Services can be fast paced and demanding, so the ability to stay composed and work effectively as part of a team is essential. We are not looking for people who want to stand around waiting for instructions. We are looking for people who see what needs doing and get involved.
