Linear Clinical Research is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we're investing in the leaders who will help drive our future. As part of our continued expansion, we're creating two new full‑time Nurse Unit Manager positions—one within our Cancer Trials Unit (CTU) and one within our Early Phase Unit (EPU), both based at our clinical trial centre in Nedlands.
Your Role in Our Future
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary clinical team, providing day‑to‑day operational leadership while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional participant care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to Senior Research Nurses to monitor clinic resources and assist in the development of contingency plans to prevent or minimise disruptions to clinical trials.
- Lead and support collaboration between the clinic team and other functions within Linear, promoting information sharing and wider team engagement.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that support organisational growth and future capability.
- Monitor expenditure on a regular basis and communicate variances against trial/study or staff budgets.
- Work in consultation with our medical team to ensure expert clinical knowledge is applied to make sound judgements and decisions about participants' safety and care.
- Promote a robust quality focus across all studies to ensure clinical trials are performed to a high standard and in accordance with GCP and applicable regulations and best practice standards.
Your Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
- Proven experience leading and developing clinical teams.
- Solid operational and workforce management skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A team-oriented leadership style and a passion for developing others.
- The ability to navigate change, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
