Primarily responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating long‑term mine plans for Phosphate Hill Mine, encompassing mine scheduling, design, and reporting components.
- Developing and maintaining the long‑term mine schedule, ensuring accuracy within +/-5% of plan targets
- Creating pit and waste dump design shapes; developing overburden removal, ore extraction, waste dump, and backfill designs in Deswik CAD
- Developing and communicating Annual Budget mine plan physicals, providing the basis for financial budget development
- Ensuring mine plans are safe, operationally deliverable, and commercially accurate, reflecting current resource model data and geotechnical constraints
- Mentoring and developing Mine Production Engineers in planning skills and mine design fundamentals
- Supporting contractor engagement to ensure alignment of mid‑term plans with execution
About the Candidate
- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high‑performance culture
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (bachelor's degree minimum)
- Demonstrated experience in surface/open‑cut mining environments with long‑term planning responsibilities
- Competent in SAP Business Systems & Microsoft Office suite (Excel)
- Strong capability in mine design, scheduling, cost forecasting and stakeholder communication
- Deswik scheduling & CAD software suite (preferable)
- Experience in publishing Life of Mine plan (JORC)
