What You’ll Be Doing

The Data Manager – Platforms is responsible for leading the management and scalability of our core data platform(s). This role leads the DataOps team and sets the direction for platform ways of working to support reliable and scalable data capabilities across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern data architectures, cloud‑based big data solutions, and DataOps methodologies.

- Optimising the Enterprise Data Platform (Databricks on AWS), including workload efficiency, cluster management and cost control
- Ensuring strong platform security, governance and compliance across RBAC, secrets and network controls
- Leading observability, monitoring and proactive incident management
- Embedding DataOps best practices across automation, CI/CD pipelines and testing
- Building, leading and developing a high‑performing DataOps team

What Sets You Apart

We’d love to hear from professionals who…..

- Have 5+ years’ experience across data platforms, data engineering, cloud or DevOps roles
- Bring robust leadership experience managing DataOps or platform teams
- Have strong hands on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Have experience with cloud-based data platforms CI/CD, observability and incident management
- Strong knowledge of orchestration tools
- Databricks experience highly regarded
