Company Overview
Our client is a growing organisation with a diverse business portfolio across several sectors. Having expanded through acquisition, the business is entering a current phase of growth and transformation, including the rollout of a new system — and is now seeking a talented Finance Business Partner to join their high‑performing FP&A; function.
The Role
Reporting to the GM‑Finance (FP+A), this is a hands‑on partnering role at the heart of the business. You'll take ownership of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis, while working closely with Divisional Finance General Managers, the Group Finance Control team, and other key functions across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially‑minded finance professional to make a genuine impact during a period of significant growth and system transformation.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on support and coordinate activities across the Group FP&A; function
- Deliver high‑quality analysis and reporting to support business decision‑making
- Leverage data to generate business intelligence and drive commercial insights
- Support Board and Management Performance Meeting reporting, forecasting and budgeting
- Drive process governance and rigorous decision‑making practices
- Partner closely with Divisional Finance teams and corporate stakeholders
- Support the implementation of a new planning and reporting system
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and automation initiatives
- Manage relationships and expectations across Supply Chain, IT, People and Legal
- Translate business needs into practical, developed processes
- Get involved in ad hoc projects and analysis as required
The Candidate
- Highly developed financial and commercial analysis skills
- Proven ability to turn complex data sets into clear, actionable commercial insights
- CAN‑DO attitude is a must
- Track record of successfully partnering with sales and marketing functions and engaging senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills (SQL, INDEX MATCH, SUMIFS, PivotTables, advanced formulas)
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate different personalities and priorities
- Experience in a Financial Planning or Commercial Analyst role, ideally within a blue‑chip organisation
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience coaching or developing team members highly regarded
