Sexual Violence Trauma Counsellor - Senior Practitioner

Domestic Family Violence Specialist Support – Full‑time, Permanent

Responsibilities

- Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships
- Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progress
- Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development
- Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard
- Enhancing stakeholder relationships and partnerships to provide clients with support that meets their needs
- Working collaboratively within a small team to deliver best practice to women and children who are experiencing domestic family violence

Qualifications

- Minimum 3‑year tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Eligibility for membership with either AASW, ACA, AHPRA or PACFA (membership not required – just evidence that you would meet their eligibility requirements)
- Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation
- Knowledge and previous experience working in the Domestic and Family Violence or closely related human services context
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families
- Strong report‑writing,



analytical and evaluation skills, including data collection and analysis
