At Community Transport Services Tasmania (CTST), we are committed to supporting people to live well and stay connected to their community. We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Executive Manager People & Capability to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce, culture and volunteer services.
As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, CTST provides transport, home maintenance, social support, and domestic assistance to older Tasmanians and individuals with health or mobility limitations. Operating statewide, we are supported by a dedicated workforce of 500 staff and volunteers, a fleet of over 100 vehicles, and a clear mission: to ensure every Tasmanian can access high-quality, reliable support to live well within their community.

About the Prospect
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this executive leadership position is responsible for leading CTST's people, culture, volunteer and workforce functions. The role provides both strategic and operational leadership across workforce planning, organisational development, industrial relations, leadership capability, employee engagement, workplace wellbeing and workforce governance.
This is more than a traditional HR leadership role.
A key strategic priority is leading the development of a sector-leading volunteer strategy and volunteer excellence framework that strengthens workforce sustainability and positions CTST as one of Tasmania's leading community-based volunteer organisations.
Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you will help ensure CTST has the capability,
leadership capacity and workforce sustainability required to support future growth, aged care reform, service development and emerging community needs.
This position may be based at any of CTST’s statewide offices, offering flexibility and alignment with our community-connected approach.
About you
You are a contemporary executive leader with a strong background in people leadership, organisational development and workforce strategy.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- At leasdt 5 years experience in an executive-level experience in Human Resources or People & Culture.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, organisational development and change leadership.
- Experience developing leadership capability and succession planning frameworks.
- The ability to operate confidently at executive and Board level.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for building culture, developing people and strengthening communities.
Desirable
Executive experience in aged care, disability or the not-for-profit sector.
